Open Science Advocate of the Year Award

Starting in 2026, Applied Linguistics Press will recognize one individual and/or organization (e.g., journal, repository) each year for their efforts to support and enable a culture of open scholarship in the field of Applied Linguistics. Nominations can be based on the efforts of that individual or organization during the year of the award or for efforts in previous years. Anyone can nominate and any individual or organization is eligible to be nominated except for (a) the General Editor of ALP and (b) previous winners of the award. Once the period of nominations is closed, the ALP Advisory Board will be invited to vote to select a winner. Nominations are due November 15, and the winner will be announced in December.
